Nory Chhantyal’s Gunyo Choli Ceremony -

Traditional Nepali Chhantyal Celebration (11th March, 2026)

Gunyo Choli, or Cholo, is one of the most meaningful traditions in Nepali culture, celebrating an important stage in a young girl’s life. It is a beautiful ceremony that symbolizes growth, blessings, identity, and the transition from early childhood into girlhood. Dressed in traditional attire, the young girl is honored by her family and loved ones in a celebration filled with joy, culture, and heartfelt blessings.

In our Chhantyal community, this tradition has its own special meaning and style. In the Chhantyal language, we call it “Jhyama Cholo.” It is a tradition that carries the love of our ancestors, the beauty of our culture, and the pride of our community.

We feel incredibly blessed to celebrate our daughter Nory’s Jhyama Cholo in our own traditional way. This is such a precious milestone in her life — a day that reminds us how quickly children grow, and how important it is to celebrate these moments with love, family, and tradition.

Even though our parents could not travel to be with us for the ceremony, their blessings were always with us. We missed them deeply, but we felt their love in every prayer, every smile, and every special moment of the day. With the support of our wonderful friends and family in Norway, we celebrated Nory’s special day with happiness, warmth, and gratitude.

This video is more than just a memory of an event. It is a celebration of culture, family, love, and a beautiful milestone in Nory’s journey from a little child to a big girl. We hope you enjoy watching this special moment and sharing in our happiness.

Thank you all for your blessings and love.

Dyreparken Zoo Adventure -

A trip to Kristiansand (2025)

We recently had a wonderful trip to Dyreparken (Zoo) in Kristiansand, and it was truly a trip to remember! With friends, family, and excited kids, we explored animals, enjoyed fun activities, and made memories that will last forever.

@Dyreparken⁩

Our adventure began with excitement as we entered Dyreparken. The kids were full of energy, and we couldn’t wait to start exploring. We saw the majestic giraffes, the playful orangutans, and the powerful lions and leopards. It was such a joy to watch the kids’ faces light up every time they spotted a new animal. We got to see the incredible tigers, curious lemurs, and many other amazing animals. The kids loved running around and discovering new corners of the zoo, while we adults enjoyed the relaxed pace and plenty of laughs together. We ventured into the magical world of Captain Sabertooth’s Kingdom (Kaptein Sabeltanns Rike). The kids were thrilled to step into the pirate-themed universe, full of ships, adventures, and stories of the legendary Captain. It was like entering another world — a highlight for both children and adults!

@Kristiansand

We took a trip to Sørlandsenteret & Kristiansand Sentrum, where the kids had a great time riding sparkecycles. It was the perfect way to mix some playtime outside the zoo into our trip. Our stay at Scandic Hotel made the trip even more comfortable and memorable.

Reflections & Plans for Next Time

Although we had an amazing three days, we realized that we only managed to cover about half of Dyreparken. That means one thing — we’re definitely coming back! 🙌 Next time, we’re planning to:

✔️ Explore the rest of the zoo

✔️ Stay at the Zoo Hotel inside Dyreparken 🏨

✔️ Enjoy the Badeland waterpark

💦 Thank You ❤️

Thank you for watching our series and following along on this adventure. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Stay tuned for more family trips, and keep in touch! ✨
